    What is HTML?
    a simple scripting language.
    What does HTML stand for?
    HTML stands for Hypertext MArkup Language
    What type of document is HTML?
    A plain text file that contains text and nothing else.
    What happens when a browser opens an HTML file?
    THe browser will look for HTML codes in the text and use them to change the layout, insert images or create links to other pages.
    What does the acronym WYSIWYG stand for?
    WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET
    What do you think is the advantage of using a WYSIWYG editor?
    It puts focus on the visual results and not on the codes

    Why do you need to know HTML?
    if you want to make it above average you will need to know the tags.
    What are three benefits of knowing HTML?
    you can use tags the editor doesn't support, you can read the codes of other people pages and use the nice effects, and you can do the work yourself if the editor refuses to create the effects you want..
    Describe how you create a HTML document using a simple text editor.
    you can create HTML by hand with almost any text editor, also using notepad that comes as a standard program with windows. All you have to do is type and save the document and make sure to put an .html extension or .htm extension to the file.
